101 in 1001 Update

I just love accomplishing and crossing things off of this list! It feels great to be able to have one less thing to do and to get closer to making a new list, lol. This week I was able to cross off a couple things so here's a quick update

accomplishments

"Give up soda for 30 days"
The reason I picked thirty days is because I think a month of doing something is plenty of time to make or break a habit. I would drink soda every day - even if it was only a sip. I started to believe it cured my headaches, and when I'm sad the first think I would do is gulp down a Mountain dew. Like some people eat ice cream. Right now I'm on day 4 of 30. It's been a success so far. I'll let you know next week how I'm doing.

"Start waking up at 6:00"
I'm currently working towards this goal also. I would usually wake up around 10:00 but right now I'm slowly easing my way to a 6:00 wake up time. As of right now I'm waking up at 7:30 and have been for a couple weeks, but starting tomorrow I'll be waking up at 7:15 (by alarm)

"watch 50 movies that I've never seen"
(10/50)
Since last weeks post I've watched six more movies!

"Evening" - This was one of those love stories where you keep thinking something bad or good is going to happen, nothing happened. It was enjoyable obviously because I kept thinking the couple was gonna some how reunite but instead nothing happened. The lady passed away in the end. The ending was pointless. Left me thinking "what the... fudge"

"Shes Having a Baby" - another pointless movie in my opinion, just a movie on everyday life. In my opinion the main female character was psycho. Idk I literally couldn't stop laughing when she started screaming about her husbands best friends girlfriend/hooker/whatever!

"P.S I Love You" - I actually liked this movie. It was a cute love story. Hilary looked pretty, which is odd for me to say because I normally think she looks like a man. I was a bit disappointed with the kiss her and her friend shared at the end, just how there were no sparks. It would have been nice to see her fall in love again. But then when they showed the last scene with her and the guy from Ireland, I was okay because that made me think she might fall in love again ((:

"Bring it On - Fight to the Finish" - I've been a huge fan of "Bring it On" movies since I was eight and my friend introduced me to the first one. I had never seen the second one until later in life, I saw the third one before I started nineth grade and it instantly became my favorite. Then the fourth one when I was in eleventh grade and that became my favorite. THEN I was totally hesitant to see this one. I just didn't think it would be as great as the others. Well I finally decided to watch it and I actually liked it. It didn't become my favorite but it had the same idea as the others. Competing teams - the bad guys (girls) and the good. The good wins. Oh, and a love story!

"The Vow" - This movie got its own post! Click here.

"The Time Travelers Wife" - Basically I'm in love with Rachel McAdams and have to love everything with her in it and I did love her in this movie. This movie was different. So I give credit for being unique, but seriously, I don't like how it ended :( and through the movie I kept getting so confused!! LOL

"post at least 300 times this year"
(40/300)
Even though I made my blog almost a year ago - this is the year I want to progress as a blogger. I only posted 50ish times in 2011, but at the end of this year I'll hopefully be able to take on the title of being a blogger with pride ((:

"Buy colorful pants"
Colorful pants have become my most recent obsession!! I'm loving all the different colors. I want lavender and I want mint and pink and a light blue sounds nice too! I ended up buying this purpley color. I can't wait to buy other colors!

"Organize under my bed"
Check! √
I had so much crammed under there and now I only have two boxes of things, which to me is simply spic 'n span!

"organize my bedroom drawers"
Check! √

"Find decor ideas for DVDs, books and long necklaces"
aka the main things I needed something to do with. I finally found a place for each. My books got put in a drawer in my night stand until further notice. I found a little TV stand in my house where there was a place for DVDs and my long necklaces got hung behind my door on the handy little hanger I found at a dollar store for only 3 bucks.

"Visit grandparents at least 20 times this year"
(3/20)
-My grandma was actually the person I went to see The Vow with LOL and then after that my grandparents and I went out to eat (:
-My step fathers birthday was on Friday and my grandparents took us all out for Chinese!

"Make my bed every morning"
I would say that this has definitely become a habit so I'm going to cross it off of my 101 ((:

"read my devotional daily!"
(50/365)

Favorite verse(s) of the week

"Don't be afraid, just believe."
Mark 5:36

Is any one of you in trouble? He should pray.
Is anyone happy? Let him sing songs of praise.
James 5:13

great goals! good luck with the pop one. I gave it up about 7 years ago and have only had 4 or 5 in the past 7 years since I've gave it up. I remember why I gave it up every time I would crave one. Can't wait to hear about your progress!! :D

I'm still confused over Time Travlers Wife. Almost as much as Lake House.. I hate when they turn a chick flick into Sci-fi:)

Happy early week wishes to you!
