What I Bought for $25

Okay so if you read my "What I bought for $20" post two days ago, you would know I get overly excited when I have loose change to spend. After spending the $20 my dad gave me for Valentines day, I know y'all have been anticipating hearing what I bought with the $20 that my grandma gave me! LOL like you totally care. Well I found a couple scratch off tickets lying in my room from Christmas time. There were $5 in winnings altogether. That was a surprise, I got to add five extra dollars to my spendings and of course, I wasn't slow to spend it. I went to Michaels today and being that all the Valentines day things were marked down 70%, I just couldn't resist. What did I buy, you ask. Well I bought these lovely things:

Starting from the top left hand corner that would be candy melts, (which I got two bags of), a heart shaped ice cube tray, be mine napkins and plates, valentines sayings cookie tray, a candy maker, and valentines day cookie cutters!

a red heart shaped cookie cutter, heart cupcake holders, a pink heart shaped cookie cutter, two bags, Valentines Day cupcake pick candy maker, AND a candy molder to put chocolate around pretzels. After I was done buying all of this I walked a couple stores down to Target, stopped at the in store Starbucks and bought myself a much deserved Moca Chip Frap as a reward for only spending $20.69 at Michaels.

Hellooo heaven in a cup (:
so basically my spending account aka the loose change in my wallet is gone. I don't think I'll have extra change to spend for a while, but it was fun while it lasted and I'm totally happy with my purchases.

...now on to the photo a day challenge...

Day 16. something new

I may have forgotten to mention that during my trip to Target I ended up buying an outfit. But that wasn't spent with the green paper I had in my purse. Better yet, the magic card! But shh.. you're not supposed to know that. I FINALLY GOT A PAIR OF COLORFUL PANTS!! I'm so happy. Now I only need pink, green, blue, and red.

What I Bought for $20

In the last few years I've stopped carrying cash. It's actually rare that I'll have cash on me. Being that everything is electronic now, I don't really see the need. Well except for when I go to the car wash, when I want to donate a couple bucks, when I want something from a vending machine, etc. I'm starting to get to the point where I look a loose change in my wallet and I'm like "...what is this?" - I'm so used to just swiping a card. Well, for Valentines Day my daddy sent me a package of candies and a card. In the card was a $20 bill! Getting money is enough of a surprise, but lately having cash in my wallet is becoming a simple pleasure.

What did I do with this $20?
Well yesterday - I went to Dollar General and Kmart, because I wanted to get out for a little bit and look for cheap home decor ideas! Recently I've been trying to redo my bedroom. Well, not exactly redo just make it more organized. I had jewelry piles in a wooden box on my dresser - everything was knotted together. Luckily after a couple hours of untangling and rearranging, I'm 100% more organized. At Dollar General I had intentions of just purchasing something to store my DVDs in, but I ended up getting this instead...

The door hanger - not the necklaces. This was only $3 and is perfect because the back of my door was so plain before so it added a little decoration to the emptiness. I didn't find anything for DVD storage there, I ended up finding a shelf which wasn't being used in my house.

This is perfect because it matches my bed and dresser! I can't believe I didn't think of it before. Oh and don't make fun of my VINTAGE, box TV.

At KMART I bought this book - As I mentioned in a earlier post I started reading today! You can see in the picture by the price tag that it was $12. I'm not bragging about that because I know that's not a good deal for a book, but I think my purchases were a great deal for $20. Minus tax and what not, I have 3.95 left of that 20 dollars. But great news, my grandma sent me a card with a 20 in it too! So you'll see another post about what I bought with my loose change again soon. ((:
