What I Bought for $20

In the last few years I've stopped carrying cash. It's actually rare that I'll have cash on me. Being that everything is electronic now, I don't really see the need. Well except for when I go to the car wash, when I want to donate a couple bucks, when I want something from a vending machine, etc. I'm starting to get to the point where I look a loose change in my wallet and I'm like "...what is this?" - I'm so used to just swiping a card. Well, for Valentines Day my daddy sent me a package of candies and a card. In the card was a $20 bill! Getting money is enough of a surprise, but lately having cash in my wallet is becoming a simple pleasure.

What did I do with this $20?
Well yesterday - I went to Dollar General and Kmart, because I wanted to get out for a little bit and look for cheap home decor ideas! Recently I've been trying to redo my bedroom. Well, not exactly redo just make it more organized. I had jewelry piles in a wooden box on my dresser - everything was knotted together. Luckily after a couple hours of untangling and rearranging, I'm 100% more organized. At Dollar General I had intentions of just purchasing something to store my DVDs in, but I ended up getting this instead...

The door hanger - not the necklaces. This was only $3 and is perfect because the back of my door was so plain before so it added a little decoration to the emptiness. I didn't find anything for DVD storage there, I ended up finding a shelf which wasn't being used in my house.

This is perfect because it matches my bed and dresser! I can't believe I didn't think of it before. Oh and don't make fun of my VINTAGE, box TV.

At KMART I bought this book - As I mentioned in a earlier post I started reading today! You can see in the picture by the price tag that it was $12. I'm not bragging about that because I know that's not a good deal for a book, but I think my purchases were a great deal for $20. Minus tax and what not, I have 3.95 left of that 20 dollars. But great news, my grandma sent me a card with a 20 in it too! So you'll see another post about what I bought with my loose change again soon. ((:
